Xel Ha, Mexico – Frog Pond 2004
We took a day trip to go to Xel Ha on our trip down to Cancun in 2004. They’ve got a lot of good 1 day excursions you can do that take you around to see the sites. They’ve got it pretty nicely setup to cater to the tourists for sure. This shot really caught my attention at how clear it was for one, and secondly how I couldn’t see any animals in it.
Sydney Skyline From The Harbour – Sydney, Australia 2007
I really liked this shot. The goal was to get as little of the skyline as possible and emphasize the unique clouds that were forming over the top of the city. It was pretty cold out but we were on a boat tour of the harbour with a dinner cruise. Heather stayed inside and I went out in the chilly weather to try to snap a few quick ones. This one really stuck out.
Skitter Falls – Road to Hana, Maui, HI 2005
This one will always have some special meaning. It was a good find on our trip around Maui via the Road to Hana. We saw this waterfall from the highway and trekked in a little bit to see it. My goal with it was to catch the waterfall with a long shutter to smooth out the water, it worked nicely. I was knees deep in the water with my tripod and nearly fell over a time or 2, but the shot worked nicely.
