Deadwood Beach, Maui Hawaii

After the ride on our bikes down Haleakala in Maui, Hawaii, 2005, we stopped at this store to pick up lunch, but behind the store there was this beach that they didn’t tell us about – had some really nice looking views…

IMG_1730_ Maui, Hawaii, Hana Backside

I remember snapping this one on top of the jeep we rented looking back over my right shoulder. The sun was setting and I had to hurry to find that “last good shot” but the sun started setting faster than I could snap the shot. So the top right corner got a little more light than I wanted to let in, but being in the car, and running out of time, it made it tough to set up the way I wanted it. Can’t complain though, it turned out alright I think…img_1730_hana-backside2a_b

View Over The Pacific From Maui, Hawaii

Another piece off the backside of Road to Hana in Maui, Hawaii. It was tough to get an angle that didn’t have too much light in it as the sun was right in the lens.img_1730_hana-backside2a_b

Mount Haleakala Maui, Hawaii

A snap at the top of Haleakala in Maui before we started the bike ride down through – if I recall, we didn’t have to pedal all that much to go down 10 miles.

Old Hawaiian Barn in Black and White

February 2004 – A barn on the backside of Maui on the way to the Road to Hana – didn’t seem like anyone ever used it, but I’d have to say that the grass was actually pretty green and cut if I recall though. I can see the “green” part living in a tropical locale, but the “cut” part was interesting. I remember I tried to take a few photos from a shack that was near it – brush had taken over the building, but none of those photos turned out too well and therefore didn’t make the cut here.
